Written by Lil Mack, JD, and Jantre'
Lil Mack begins the Arkansas Razormack project with a song entitled Inner City Blues 2005. This song is a fitting introduction to a project of this magnitude. Inner City is a thought provoking tale of three individual dealing with life, death, pain, and perseverance. Surprisingly the song was made in 45 minutes from beginning to end. Inner City Blues 2005 was originally put on the project as a filler song, however after an over whelming response to the song it was promptly place at the beginning of the project
"This song goes out to everybody thats lost a loved one. This song goes out to everybody that got a relative overseas...dealing with that stuggle. "
1st verse - Lil Mack
If I dont wake up tell my girl that I love her,
You can also tell my momma, daddy, sister, and my brother,
I prey for the nig-- that murdered my relative in cold blood,
I know she got a spot in heaven sowed up,
So what, Sold drugs carry the burden over my shoulder,
They say it hurts and it sho does,
And when my mind cant fade the strain,
I take another shot of hennessey to ease the pain,
F#@ked up in this mothaf@#kin dirty ass game,
Rule #1 game recognize game,
And rule #2 never say ya real name,
And rule #3 never sleep on ya enemies,
Cause even them nig--- can figure your identity, you feelin me,
Scrilla be on the table if you willing and able,
To do what you got to do to be mentally stable,
This aint no game dog, gotta get your mind strong,
Just put your face to the wind and get your grind on. Yea
VJ - K
"Tell momma that Im doing better,
Thats the reason that I wrote this letter,
Livin better through the stormy weather,
Waiting for the day we could come together,
Im taking care of business now,
I need you when I raise my child,
I never listened to your guidence,
Now Im living better when I tried it...DON'T GIVE UP ON ME...
I'll make you proud wait and see..."
Dress me clean for the city please don't shed no tear,
Cause the presence of your essence to me who really miss me,
To my relative, pour the alcohol for me cuzz,
Its still family ties cause we all blood,
Show love to my homies in these underground communities,
Still after death I hope the youth desire what they want to be,
Indeed these hard times make me want to holla,
These niggas is takin risks to gain another dollar,
My vision for better days, Prayer for hella change,
Its gonna take more than one to see a world change,
I can still see those city lights, I can still feel those city nights,
Mobbin through livin the city life,
Just got word that yall just viewed my body,
And plus the crowd was thick hope it wasn't hard on anybody,
FOR THOSE WHO SAW MY EYES CLOSED,
JUST KNOW I'M STILL LIVING ON THROUGH MY SOUL.
